September 14, 2012 at 9:00 AM A CUTE CARD...
from Sara today. Because she has new goodies and was chompin'-at-the-bit to create!
Sara got a new order from Scrapy Land, and couldn't wait to try our the Sizzix Movers & Shapers "Star & Circles" set. Here is what she did with her new dies...
She started with some cute yellow ledger paper from the Authentique "Endless & Fair-Weather" paper. She die-cut three stars from that piece, and then laid that on top of a white card base. Then she grabbed some turquoise patterned paper and die-cut the smaller star, and nested those within the negative space. What a GREAT look! And while there is added dimension with the star-within-a-star, there is no added bulk. The turquoise star is at the exact same level as the ledge paper.
She finished her card off with some red Bakers Twine and a few random embellishments from paper collection kits.
She turned this into a "back to school" card, by adding a tag that was preprinted with "school days, school days". But this card pattern would be an ideal one to leave blank, and have ready at a moment's notice to add whatever sentiment you needed!
Thanks for the great idea, pattern and inspiration Sara!
What kinds of card do you make to "have on hand"? Are they quick and easy ones made using scraps - or are they cards you spend a lot of time on perfecting? We'd love to hear from you - click COMMENT LOVE below to leave a comment.
