March 14, 2011 at 6:00 AM WELCOME TO THE WEEK...
know around here as "Lucky Charms Week"!
A week full of fun, craziness, scrappy goodness, tips and tricks and enabling all around. Prepare yourselves - for the next five days!
It's 6:00 am and rest assured I'm still sound asleep. Spring Break week started last Friday and the kids, the great weather and the general attitude has been one of rest and relaxation. However Lucky Charms Week must go on. So right now I'm checking in to present you with Monday's Challenge.
Today's challenge is a brand new Scrapy Land Starting Blox - plain and simple...
but the theme for today's Blox might be a bit of a challenge. It's all about YOU! And it's about you, today! Right here, right now!
If you click over in the right hand side-bar where it says PDFS and FILES, you'll be taken to all of the files I've uploaded over the past year. You'll want to select the LUCKYCHARMS2011.pdf file and download that. Just clicking on it should do the job.
That file contains a fill-in-the-blank journaling block that I'm challenging you to use on a scrapbook page. Here are a few examples of the page the Scrapy Land Design Team and I created...
Here I've used the journaling block, along with some of the brand new Ad Lib collection from BoBunny and some great LC flower dies.
Gail did her page using the Olivia collection from BoBunny - guess we were both channeling BoBunny papers this weekend!
And from Michelle...

she used the Valentine's Day line from Echo Park.
So print out the .pdf and get scrappin'! The .pdf will print out on an 8.5"x 11" paper, but then should be trimmed down to a 5.5x11" piece. If your printer will print a 12" piece - go ahead and cut your paper into 8.5"12 like I did, and sort of "cheat" the system! Michelle's printer only prints 11" paper, but as you can see above she added an inch of cardstock but covered her seam with ribbon and flowers. What a great trick!
All "Lucky Charms Week" challenges are due to me by 3pm on Friday. Please send me your .jpg files {under 1MB please!} and title your file with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday AND your name. It oh-so-helps me keep files and projects attributed to the correct scrapper!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment here. If you're planning to play along this week - chime in with a comment so we know how many we're expecting!
Lots of fun today - and more fun all week!
The Scrapy Land 600 "tute" posts at 9:00am PDT today. It's all about Imaginisce tools - be still my heart!
I'm here for your habit...

I want to take a pic of myself scraping this challenge, so I guess I will be trying to find the tripod and using the self timer on my camera, then wrestling with my printer to give me a picture to use for this first challenge! Wish me luck!
Thanks! :D
I will take some time thinking how to fill in the form...
Bring on the next one... I am ready :-)
