WHILE I SHOULD BE MAKING...

Mother's Day cards, I'm playing with new markers instead.

Not that my new Copics can't be used on Mother's Day cards. Of course they can. But right now I want to color the new stamps that arrived yesterday.

oh, and this one!

and this one too!

{SHHHH - this one too!}

So Mother's Day cards are just going to have to wait another couple of hours. Or I'm going to have to change a couple of sentiments! This morning though - I'm totally in love with this little cutie...

She's call "Soaking up the Joy" from Stampavie. I thought the title of the stamp so aptly fit her that I used it as the sentiment. I imagine her spinning around in circles with her pink tutu on, while she smiles upward at the sky. Pure bliss! Soak it up!

I used my Scalloped Circle Nestabilities to cut out and emboss the circle around the image. My sentiment is made up of the QK Santa's Workshop font and the NEW QK Espresso. I used a handful of Copics to color her, and before you ask...no, I forgot to take a picture of the colors I used. Sorry!

Luckily - I'll be using this colored image in my upcoming Saturday Scrapy Land LIVE! class...

Saturday, May 8th - 8am PDT

{8am CA/AZ, 9am CO, 10am TX, 11am FL}

"Copics for Coloring Hair and Skin"

I will be using lots of new stamps and a couple of new Copics I just received. We'll be going over skin, skin and skin. Which means have any and all EARTH colors you have handy. E00, E02, E11, E21, E29, E33, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, E50, E51, E53 and E57 are the Earth-colors I have. We'll be moving quickly and talking about lots of things - but it will be recorded to replay at your leisure!

My stamps are calling my name. I'm treating them like medicine today - treatment and healing. I don't know if my family is buying it or not - but I am feeling better! {wink, wink}

I'm here for your habit...

Gee! No wonder all the stamps are out of stock - someone has gone stamping crazy. I'm teasing of course. :) Susan those stamps are so cute and the card is darling. Pretty please tape the showing on Saturday. It looks like I might be running a 5K in the morning, so I will miss out. :( I did purchase a lot of the earth colors and I have been playing around with skin tones. I WILL get the hang of this - I WILL! Can't wait too see your technique.

I read that coloring reduces stress. Therefore stamps MUST be mediciine.

So cute! How did you do the edge of the PP rectangle? It looks like you stitched it w/o thread and then tore it along that line? Different and fun!

beads...5K...OHMY - I have competition!!!! Have fun ladies - and I WILL record the show!

Terry - I'm here for your habit...LOL!

Helen - so do you think Blue Cross will cover my Copics with an out-of-network copay???? LOL

Michelle - my PP is just trimmed to 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 and then distressed around the edge. I think it's an optical illusion because the bottom edge of the PP actually has a row of black dots, and the top edge has teal dots. I just use the old Heidi Swap distressing tool to grunge up the edge of the paper. That's all :)

:)
