January 7, 2010 at 11:59 AM MOVING RIGHT ALONG...
to the second introduction of the week.
The next featured member of the Scrapy Land "Fab Four" Design Team is Lolly:

Miss Lolly is grinning from ear-to-ear here, not only because she was asked to join the Scrapy Land Design Team, but also because she's modeling her spiffy new bracelet from her favorite sister! {did I say that right Lolly? LOL!}
I emailed Lolly the same questions that I asked Veronica yesterday. Here are the answers that will give you a little peek into that crafty head of hers!
NAME: LollyNICKNAMES: LollyChopsHOME TOWN: Bedford, TXFAMILY: One husband (Ron) and three dogs (Dog, Harriet and Charlotte - all girls). The chicks have him outnumbered! Muhahahahaha!STARTED SCRAPPIN': 1.5 years ago. But in my defense, I was doing things with scrap supplies long before then...I just did not turn to the scrappy light until recently!EARLY BIRD OR NIGHT OWL: Earliest bird there is. I get up when other people are going to bed. (Okay maybe not THAT early, but that's what my husband claims!) I start turning orange if I stay up after midnight. Staying up past 1 am has me sprouting leaves and anything after 3 am is a full blown "Lolly's a pumpkin patch" extravaganza.FAVORITE SCRAPBOOK SUPPLY RIGHT NOW: Signo Broad White Gel Pen (greatest pen on the planet!)ITALY OR THE CARIBBEAN: Italy (it's the Italian and Catholic in me!)PAPER OR PLASTIC: Patterned, double-sided, textured paper...in teal. Of course!COKE OR PEPSI: I don't actually drink soda, but I do drink cranberry juice mixed with water, by the gallon.FAVORITE COLOR: TEAL!!!!!!!SCRAP-LIFTER: I am a total sketch lifter. I see a layout I like and sketch the ideas from it in my little sketch book (like the Blox that Susan does)...inspiration from others is some of the best stuff out there!WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU FOUND $100, OTHER THAN BUY SCRAP-SUPPLIES: What else is there to do with an extra $100 if not buy more scrap supplies? heh...kidding! Sorta! I would buy stuff to organize my scrap room. Since that's not technically scrap supplies I am thinking I can get away with this as my final answer. Right? Hello? Anyone there? {LOL}FAVORITE SCRAP SUBJECT: my doggies and my family3 MONTHS ON A DESERT ISLAND...WHAT 3 SUPPLIES: You mean product LINE, right? Not just a single product?!?!?!? GULP! My die cutter and ALL of my dies (that's one), 987 12"x 12" pieces of chipboard (that's two) and a giant box FULL of Signo Broad White Gel Pens (that's three)! I figure I can cut chipboard shapes and doodle all over them with my KILLER white pen. Now if I could bring one more thing it would be every color of Stickles ever made (again, that's just one). That way I could fill in all the doodles with some blingy-glittery-goodness!PAPER HO OR DIE HO: Oh dear! You are asking the tough questions here...can I be a "paper-cutting-die-ho"?SALTY OR SWEET: Sweet all the way! Dark chocolate is my crutch. And here is a tip: eat all sweet things in twos. Two kisses, two mini candy bars, two bags of M&Ms, etc...This keeps things balanced in the hinterlands region (a.k.a. HIPS).STRAIGHT LINES OR RANDOMLY ASKEW: Mostly straight but I am trying to learn to skew as much as possible (but it's an organized skew really). I basically have to close my eyes and just go for it (no repositionable adhesives allowed in my craft room). Until I order the mega roll from Dani.IF YOU COULD BE ONE PUBLIC FIGURE FOR ONE DAY, WITH NO LASTING RAMIFICATIONS...WHO: Harrison Ford. (So I could check myself out in a pair of hot guy jeans!)WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN/SHARE/ACCOMPLISH OVER THE NEXT 6 MONTHS: Learn: to relax and go with the flow. Share: new ideas for ways to use our beloved scrappy products! Accomplish: tons and tons and tons of beautifully finished projects!
Okay, did you giggle at least once?
Here are some of the projects Lolly sent in with her Design Team application:
This was the first picture that I opened in her email and it totally took my breath away. Gorgeous, fun, whimsical, colorful and practical! That's right up my alley! Lolly used a Sizzix die that is exclusive to another company, but seriously any single-shape-butterfly would work. Like this one, or this one or these.
Here is a cute home decor project - a die-cut embellished topiary. Totally doable with felt and your Sizzix flower dies. We are going to get Lolly in front of a camera pretty soon and maybe we'll convince her to do a Scrapy Land LIVE! video on this technique.
This little card just made me smile. Lots of layers of paper and fabric. Die-cuts and brads all joined together into cuteness. Spellbinders Nestabilities would be perfect here. Lots of sizes and lots of layering possibilities.

And finally, a page Lolly sent me last week for the Starting Blox Christmas Bonus Challenge. Cute, cute, cute! The little lime-green "nap time" title is the Santa's Workshop Gift Set font.
As you can see, Miss Lolly is going to add some awesome "non-scrapbook-page" interest to the blog. And for that...I am ecstatic.
So that puts us half way through Scrapy Land's "Fab Four". I have a hunch you'll be getting lots of unique inspiration from this one. In fact, if you want to check out her own blog you can do that by clicking here. But be warned - you're liable to lose an hour of your afternoon!
Everyone made Veronica feel very welcomed yesterday - let's do the same for Lolly. Be a dolly and leave a comment. By golly. It'll make her jolly. {Sorry, I just couldn't resist...I tried, but I couldn't!}
Tomorrow you'll meet a familiar Starting Blox participant...Lara.
I'm here for your habit...

Lolly, I told you they would be licking their "chops" for more.
(I couldn't resist either). Welcome. I'm looking forward to seeing video's from you when your camera comes back.
Lolly, your work is beautiful. I can't wait to see you demonstrate some of your techniques. And teal is a beautiful, beautiful color!
Love it, Lolly!! Your projects are beautiful--love the layering of goodies. I can't wait to see what other things you have in store for us this year. You have a fun, chatty typing style too which is great! Can't wait to get to know you better, and I'll try to avoid the temptation to make my own rhyme :)
Lolly, I spent some time on your blog earlier today. Wonderful ideas and I can't wait until you do your first Live Show. I'd love to know more about the butterfly project. (I understand you like butterflies!)
Welcome and I am glad that you are a part of our insanely fun world!

Hi Lolly love your stuff and can't wait to see more. You know we will have to meet for lunch somewhere between Bedford and Flower Mound!
Hey guys... evidently my comment from before did not take! I must not have typed those letters in correctly!
So YES... the bracelet is from my sister and she's crazy talented!
I would LOVE to do a video demonstration on how to put that topiary flower thing together! It's so easy and fun it's not even funny!
And Dania I would love to get together with you for lunch! We should meet up soon!!! We'll take pics so everyone on the board can see us together! What fun!
And... I am totally thrilled to be a part of ScrapyLand! Susan thanks for such a warm welcome!
HUGS everyone!
Lolly...I think chocolate should come in threes...oriental style is odd numbers, so 3, 5, 7 heehee! Dark chocolate is the BEST!
Looking forward to all the creative ideas from you...
Aloha from Hawaii

I am totally blown away by Lolly's projects.... they are wonderful. I am really looking forward to seeing more and more. The cork board is wonderful, and I am planning on trying my hand at that one! Would love a how-to video on that one!!!!
Loved the answers you gave to the questions - you had me cracking up! I think you and I would get along pretty well....
Susan one question: How can you be a die Ho without being a paper Ho? Is that possible?
Hello everyone! I am MomChops, mother of LollyChops. I hope to get to know all of you through this wonderful ScrappyLand blog! And I know you will enjoy Lolly's incredible ideas - and honest, I am only SLIGHTLY prejudiced :)! Really she blows away the whole family.
Brenda, I was wondering the same thing. It's like what came first, the chicken or the egg. If you're a die Ho, you're going to need some paper. If you're a paper Ho, you're going to need some dies. Can't be one or the other! LOL!
thank you ladies for welcoming Miss Lolly with such open arms! Y'all are so sweet!
Brenda and Diane - I would beg to differ with you. I would totally classify myself as a "paper ho". Meaning I absolutely panic if I don't have enough kraft cardstock on my shelf. I MUST have the new Cosmo Cricket line before anyone else. And I will only buy heavy weight, good quality paper...brand name...the whole deal. I won't scrap with crap is my favorite line...my girlfriends will tell you. And I usually buy 3 sheets of everything...because I must have plenty of paper...always.
Dies - while I love dies, and use them daily, and have bunches of them - I don't need them to scrap. If I go to a crop I rarely take my dies with me {gasp!!} I just don't...but I'll lug 14 reams of paper to kingdom come just on the off chance that I'll need it. If my house was on fire dies would not be the last thing I'd grab! Paper - I'd cry over though!
HAHAHA - that's how I describe it. And that's how I think the classifications work. I know die hos...and Brenda I think you are definitely one! {tee hee}
this is so goofy - what would our mother's say about this discussion!!! Bwahahahahha!!!!!
Susan, with that kind of description, I guess I'm a paper ho. Love my dies, but my paper has to be perfect or I won't buy it, no matter what the sale!
Congratulations to being part of the new Design Team. Love that tree and the butterfly project - I think the latter I scrap/craftlift for my daughter, she loves blues.
Looking forward to seeing more of your talent,
Ute
I wonder where my comment I wrote yesterday went??? Okey, I'll give it another try
Your butterfly project is so beautiful!! Can't wait to see more of your lovely projects and to get to know better =)
