FINGERS AND TOES INTACT...

is how I hope this finds you today! Because if your house is like my house...that was my constant mantra Saturday night.

BOYS and explosives! I swear...the bigger the boom the better. It's something I'll never understand! {Hopefully THEY will understand my agitation - once they become parents! LOL}

I thought we'd change things up a bit today - a switch from pages and cards...to projects. And this project is a "Brenda Project", so you know it's going to be awesome! I promised it last week, but the whole "Blog Mess 1.0" got the better of me. I think you'll find this to be worth the wait though!

Brenda is a tad more organized than me. Has been for as long as I've known her. When I saw her finished project - I immediately thought, "That's very Brenda, organized and oh-so-stinkin' cute", and I immediately knew that you all would LOVE the idea!

The BEST part - is not only did she send in her pictures...she did a video for us! Brenda - you ROCK! All of Scrapy Land {me particularly} appreciates you!

Coupon Envelope Organizer - a la Brenda:

Her project started with a spiral notebook - actually one that was partially used. So this is really a RECYCLING/REPURPOSING project - scrapper brownie points!! She simply remade a cover, and then made envelopes to fit within the notebook. The envelopes contain her coupons, and then serve as a divider sheet for the next category.

If the category needs a LIST {like for groceries} she left notebook paper, if the category just has coupons {like for restaurants and pet stores} she just made an envelope! Such a versatile and usable idea!

Basic supplies needed - QK Revolution {Epic!}, Bind-It-All Machine, white gel pen, adhesive and your Scor-Pal

Her cover is a cardstock covered hunk of chipboard - and she used: QK Arrows border, QK CC Office Supplies (note and binder clip) and QK Sticky Note font.

Inside the front cover - she's reminding her family to WRITE IT DOWN! She used: QK String Bean font, QK Chicken Noodle font, QK Revolution Pencil, QK CC Office Supplies (paper clip) and QK Revolution Arrows.

A few notebook pages into the stack, she's added another sheet of cardstock to act as a divider. This is where the envelopes start. She'll stick the corresponding coupons for her list into the appropriate envelope. She used: QK String Bean font, QK Revolution Arrows, QK CC Office Supplies and the retired QK Dollar Sign.

See the color change? The covers and dividers are GREEN and the actual envelopes are GREY. Good idea...easy to flip to them, or tell someone else how to find them! LOVE IT! For the grocery coupon envelope, she used: QK String Bean, QK Turkey, QK Carrot, QK Tomato, QK Peas in a Pod, QK Eggs and the retired QK Corn. You could put ANYTHING on these envelope pages...these are just some FUN ideas with the dies Brenda has on hand!

I always have Sonic coupons and Pizza Hut coupons - and no one can ever find them. Problem solved with this section! She used: QK String Bean font, QK Arrows border and QK Relax Gift Set (for ketchup, mustard, hot dogs and hamburger!).

For her dog-food, dog-grooming and Vet coupon section, she used: QK String Bean, QK Arrows border, QK Dog, QK Dog, QK Cat, the retired QK Dog Food (for the bone) and she made her balls of yarn using a small circle and the retired QK Postage Cancellation for the "tail". CUTENESS!

And her final section of coupons,

is for the ever-popular craft and scrap stores. Because let's face it, while we ALL buy our dies from ScrapyLand.com - we have to find cardstock and patterned paper somewhere! Right? She used:  QK String Bean, QK Arrows border and the BK Daisy Corner.

NOW - to see exactly how the envelopes are made - watch the master herself! Grab your Scor-Pal and work along...SUPER EASY!

I LOVE IT! Same concept with a few tweaks and you could turn this into a road-trip album. Your kids could put travel tidbits into the envelopes, and label each one with the city they were in.

Personally, I want to take the idea and turn this whole idea into a receipt keeper for the cities I travel to! One envelope per city, with some sheets left for an itemized list of the money I spent for tax purposes. {My husband will be THRILLED!}

Thanks Brenda - a million. If you have questions or comments for Brenda please leave them here. She will respond in the comments so everyone knows the answers. GOOD STUFF!

If you decide to try your hand at some of her envelopes - make sure you send us an email with pictures. I'm having a huge "Wednesday SHARE" this week with all of the project pictures you've sent me in the last several weeks! Good things come from shared ideas! THANKS!

I'm here for your habit...

What a great idea!!! I will have to make one for my daughter who is the Queen of Couponing, she even has her own blog Chicks Dig
Deals and will start teaching her couponing skills at the commmunity college in October. This means I need to buy a Bind It All now for sure. I can tell my hubby that it's Susan again!!! LOL LOL

Blessings,
Dawn
