February 20, 2009 at 11:49 AM A COUPLE OF THINGS TO TIDE YOU OVER...
until later this afternoon. When I'll publish all of the Starting Blox entries.
I used the Scrapy Land Build-An-Animal exclusive (available for sale next Tuesday), the QK Grass Border, QK 3D Cherry, and QK Storybook alphabet. I used my Copic Ciao markers - C1, C3 and RV21. I also used some Stickles on the cherry and on the words "berry mice".And that made me realize I hadn't shared with you an awesome storage idea for your Stickles stash!
Last week my girlfriend sent me a cute idea for storing Stickles bottles upside down, magneted to a cookie sheet. CUTE - but in my studio I don't have a place to hang a cookie sheet. So I did the next best thing...
I took a metal easel/frame that I've had sitting around my scrapbook room for years. (But I also thought a big 8x10 frame with a piece of metal flashing cut to fit inside of it would be cute!)
I glued magnets to the bottom of my Stickles bottles and VIOLA...perfect Stickles storage. And it's CUTE! Now I just need to figure out how to get a hook on the other side of the easel, so I can hang my circle templates from it! Sure, the magnets I used were probably a bit "overkill" - but I had them on hand. I'm a big believer in "use what-chu got!"
How do you store your Stickles? I'd love to hear...and I'm sure others would as well. And what better place to exchange cute storage ideas...than the Scrapy Land blog! If you have a fun picture of a great storage trick - send it in and I'll share it with the masses!
That's it for now - Starting Blox Week #7 coming later this afternoon. Tons of great pages to share - so make sure you stop back!
I'm here for your habit...

a berry good idea!

I already showed you how I store my Stickles - Sad wasn't it? Until I get my scrap room - a girl can dream (LOL).... looking forward to the next post.
Nice card, Susan. I just might have to steal the idea ...
Question: Do Stickles have to be stored tipped or upside down? I'm a new Stickle user (got my first four yesterday) and so have a lot to learn.
Thanks again for all your hard work!
I was using a Rubbermaid carousel, but after your video I keep them upside down in a couple $1 buckets from Target. It keeps them "primed" and I can see the colors easier! I really like your clay pots though... Thanks for the info.
Adorable card and great storage idea
I love the card, and the quickutz die. I want that one, and the bunnies! Too cute! I like your stickles storage. I just have to put a title on my Finished it Friday, and do some journaling. So I missed out this week. I will probably have a missed it Monday. Have a Great WEekend Everyone! Ooh! Look... over 15,000 visitors! Way to go with your Awesome Self!
xx
Great storage. I'm sitting here looking at a magnetic board hanging on my scraproom wall. Hmmm, it's covered in Johnny Depp pictures, don't know if I can take them down to hang stickles. I have my priorities!
Love the card. So cute. Can't wait to get this die, it's going to be a huge seller.
CUTE card and clever storage. TFS. AND sorry to hear about your dog- good luck.
I love the card Susan! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Diane - Stickles do not HAVE to be stored upside down, but it tends to keep air bubbles out of the nozzle. You can certainly store them right side up...just make sure before you use them you tip them over and tap all of the "goo" into the tip.
As Mary Beth says - it does keep them "primed"!!
Kristen - thanks for noticing that we are up over 15,000 - WOO HOO Scrapy Land Blog readers. YOU ROCK!
Vicki - move your Johnny Depp pictures to inside your medicine cabinet door...OH BABY!!
thanks girls for your "cute card" comments (this die is going to fly off the shelves...so cute!) and your puppy wishes...last report, he's doing well at the Vet's!
THANKS :)
Cool...love the storage idea for the stickles!! I always squeeze out the air....but this makes so much more sense plus would take up less space.
Love the card.....your mouse wouls look cute holding a strawberry too....LOL!! Thanks susan for giving us a real live version of the new dies up for sale!!
