November 25, 2009 at 8:26 AM AFTER AN AWESOME LIVE SHOW...
about the Letterpress, one would think I'd be grateful for technology today.

Today, my page is kind of a mixture - big and little, important and trivial all combined into one page...
GOOD STUFF. If you missed the show - grab a cup of coffee and turn up the volume {because then you can hear my kids arguing in the background - and it's comical!}
A quick recap of "Susan's L-Tips" from the video...
1. Use the uber-cool Letterpress packaging as your storage containers.
2. Trim your Adhesive Sheets as you need them, and you don't need to cover the entire surface.
3. Store your Paper Placement Guides in a CD case that you've lined with adhesive.
4. Saw at least half of your package of Cleaning Cloths in half.
You know me - always trying to let you in on some tips, and save you a few bucks along the way. {saving bucks on cleaning cloths and placement guides means you can buy more Printing Plates!}
WHEW - we're almost done ladies, I promise!
And finally - I got an email last night from someone who noticed a shadow on my journaling block and wanted to know what I'd done. I can't sneak anything by Scrapy Land LIVE! viewers now, can I?

Here's how I'm using my Scor-Pal lately...as a journaling guide. LOVE IT!
WOWZERS - thanks for hanging in there during this photo-heavy post. Who knew my short-and-sweet Thanksgiving Eve post would turn into a novel?
I'm off to submerge my turkey in a sink full of cold water - and pray that it's defrosted by tomorrow morning. It still feels like a hunk of cement after 36 hours in the fridge.
Letterpress questions, comments or requests - leave a comment here under the OOHS & AAHS. I'd love to know what you thought of the show last night, or what your feelings are about the tool in general.
I'm here for your habit...

Oh...Santa Baby, Leave a LETTERPRESS Under My Tree!! Or, better yet, just send me one now :) so I can make awesome ornaments like Susan!! The more I see of the Letterpress the more I love it and I didn't think that was possible. Neato idea...journaling about the plane--I'll have to start doing that. I have my share of window pictures and kids sleeping in seats :)
Today's gratitude list:
My turkey is starting to soften up--yay!
My oven is still working ;)
My kids are happily helping straighten the house
My hubby will have a day off tomorrow so at least one extra day this week where we'll see him before bedtime :)
I'm getting things checked off my pre-December trip to-do list
Thankful that I get to finally spend a Christmas with my mom and Gram who's 91--she's soooo excited and so are we!!
I could keep going but I'll stop now :)
Love the different items possible with the LetterPress. I just cannot get another machine. LOL
Like the idea of using the scor-pal for straight line journaling. I definitely need this. LOL
Also have taken a few pictures out of the plane window. AWESOME! Love having pics of the landscape below the clouds.
Today, I'm thankful for online shopping!
I am grateful for all tricks and projects that I have seen on this blog and for other things too numerous to mention! I am going to try that journaling trick---right after the last guest leaves and I finally get some me time!!! :)
You are doing your darndest to make me buy this aren't you, lol. The results are just gorgeous. I missed the show last night (daughter and son in law came over and well, they get my attention, lol) but I was able to watch the show this morning and WOW, what a great show. Thanks Susan for showing how to use it, gave great tips and you had to show a sb page didn't you. Hubby is going to kill me and I am going to tell him it's all YOUR fault, lol.
The more I see you use the give thanks die the more I realize how useful it would be.
I will have to try that journaling with the scor-pal tip. What a great idea.
I am just loving the letterpress!!!
Today I am thankful that I got my food shopping done and the broccoli salad for tomorrow is made and in the fridge.
Lara - I'll try to get in touch with Santa for you! {wink, wink}
Christine - get those plane-window pictures printed and get 'em scrapped...even if they are ALL the same! And keep in mind, the Letterpress is only the "platform"...
MB - I hope you get some "you" time carved out...hhahahaha...carved....hahahah
Vicki - your daughter & son and law deserved your attention, it's okay! Glad you like the taped show though and the tips! And I WILL take all the blame {hubby doesn't have my address - does he??}
Pyllis - do try the Scor-Pal tip...it works oh so easily! LOVE IT!! And we need your broccoli salad recipe...love me some broccoli!!
That was an awesome show - thank you so much for taking the time to do that. Great tips - don't forget using your ATG gun on the plates. Happy Thanksgiving to all - Scrapyland is the best !!!
