IT'S WEDNESDAY...

and I feel like whining. {Not to be confused with wine-ing. It's too early for that!}

I'm going to whine today because I'm sick...

No - it's not the flu. It's not the Swine Flu or the Bird Flu or the Over The Cuckoo's Nest One Flu. It's just a head cold - but I'm going to milk it for all it's worth today and tomorrow. Actually, Friday is looking pretty good as well!

But I have to be 100% well by Halloween. Because Halloween is my "big reveal".

Let me explain!

I live in a cul-de-sac of kiddos. Most of them younger than my own two. And I have more fun with the little kid-lettes. You know - teasing them and sharing jokes and telling them they are all just teenagers-in-waiting. They seem to love my humor - and I love making them laugh. So I thought this week I'd mess with the Halloween spirits just a wee bit - and string out the fun all week long.

Monday I cut out a stack of this downloaded image, with my Silhouette SD. I used the black QK Vinyl. But I added a couple of lime green vinyl monograms, cut from QK Chicken Noodle.

Monday night - under the cover of darkness {after I forewarned the adults!} I crept around the neighborhood marking up the place. I stuck these to front doors, side doors, car windows, mailboxes, stop signs and bench seats {I tried a tree trunk - it didn't stick!}.

It was so fun standing outside Tuesday morning, pretending to gather the newspaper, listening to the kids leave for the bus stop and discovering the "boots". Squeals and giggling and opened jaw gasps!

Last night I went around to all of the boots and added the word "again" underneath them. Tonight I'll be adding one lime green star on the right boot, and Thursday night a lime green heart will join it. I haven't decided what I will do Friday night, but it needs to be shocking! Since it will be Halloween eve! Boo-whaa-haa-haaa!!

Just some crazy neighborhood fun - that will culminate at our cul-de-sac party Saturday night. I'll be wearing my black boots - that have a lime green vinyl "GW" and a lime green "heart & star" stuck to the top. I can't wait to see how long it takes the kiddos to figure it out! As soon as they do - special Franken-bags of goodies for everyone!

I just love Halloween!

If you need to fill up another couple of minutes today - hop on over to The Scrap Review and read the article I wrote this morning. I made this fun little album with some Silhouette Print & Cut images.

Love those things - it's like custom printing cardstock stickers. They were great for this little 4"x 6" album that I'll be using this weekend!

I'm headed to the drugstore - I'm looking for the cure! Doubt I'll find it - which means I'll likely settle for DayQuil. Anyone want to come make me some chicken noodle soup?

I'm here for your habit...

Sorry that you're sick. Such a fun idea - I'm curious how long it takes the kids to figure it out! :)

Feel better Susan!

What a great idea. We live in an "Older Age" neighborhood and there are very few kids around until Halloween night.

I miss doing fun stuff for Halloween!

SOrry you're not feeling well. Not sure chicken soup travels well via the internet. Love the idea - here I am making little trick and treat parcels similar to the one I mailed to you for the kids next door. And anyone with a birthday close to halloween got a SCARY card this year.

I've laughed!!! What a genius idea!!!
I used the same die cut for my daughter's 2nd grade class..Added a little piece of stocking and the sentiment......Who let the Witch out??? and four bats at the bottom asking, Who?.... Came out really cute!

Sorry to hear you're sick Susan, my hubby makes a great chicken corn soup, wish you lived closer, I'd have him make you some. It's so awesome the fun you have in your neighborhood. I can't wait to hear how long it takes the kids to figure you out.

I am soooo sorry you're sick...there seem to be a lot of different "bugs" going around this year. I hope you feel better soon!!

What a great idea!! :) I was trying to picture you sneaking around the neighborhood at night sticking things to doors and windows...too FUN! I wish there were more kids on our street...most of the people on our end have grown up kids or none at all. Let us know who catches on to your boots :)

Hi Susan, I hope you feel better soon. I just saw your review of the book binder system. Great idea. I may have to add this to my Christmas list, but I was wondering if you can add journaling to the pages before you print them out? Will Dani sell it, too? Thanks a lot.
